SONIDO

Sonido is the company run by dubbing mixer and general sound engineer, Diane Jardine.

Diane graduated from the old and much respected TV Operations and Production HND course at Glasgow College of Building and Printing (now City of Glasgow). From the moment she graduated she has worked in sound working her way up from foley and dialogue mixer to being a full dubbing mixer on many network TV series and documentaries.

She trained with her initial freelance work in Savalas and then onto her staffed job with Murricane & Murricane under the guidance of the brilliant, and much missed, Dave Murricane. It was under Dave's tutelage that Diane moved into her own series dubbing and never looked back. After some years with Murricane & Murricane and then Edit 123, Diane decided to set up her own company that would allow her to also work with her love of music and Sonido & Transmission Room Studios was born.

Now having passed the mark of trading for more than a decade, Sonido contines to work with many companies doing everything from VO recording and ADR to full mixing and radio cast recordings.

In addtion to running Sonido, Diane also teaches film sound to Film Making Students at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and is a fully qualified lecturer. She also enjoys playing in her band Moneypenny and recording music.
